Abstract:
This paper summarizes the nursing experience of treating a patient with lumbar disc herniation using appropriate traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) techniques based on the "flexible sinews and aligned bones" theory. Based on this theory and through TCM syndrome differentiation, auricular point sticking, integrated moxibustion with fire dragon cans, and meridian - dredging and arthralgia - relieving moxibustion were applied. Holistic nursing was carried out in aspects such as syndrome - differentiated diet, functional exercise, daily life, and emotional care. When the patient was discharged, the sinews were soft and not stiff, and the bones were aligned and not curved. The pain symptoms improved, and the range of motion of the waist was enhanced, with remarkable effects.
