Nursing Experience in Treating a Case of Liver Depression-Spleen Deficiency Syndrome Ulcerative Colitis with TCM Rectal Instillation and Herbal Packing Therapy

Abstract: This article summarizes the nursing experience in treating a case of ulcerative colitis (UC) with Liver Depression-Spleen Deficiency Syndrome using TCM rectal instillation combined with herbal packing.Under the guidance of TCM syndrome differentiation nursing theory, the integrated use of TCM rectal instillation and herbal packing therapy, combined with Western medical intervention using mesalazine, alongside comprehensive nursing interventions including emotional regulation, lifestyle guidance, and dietary management, effectively alleviated UC symptoms and improved the patient’s quality of life.
