Abstract: Objective To study the clinical effect of finger points combined with moxibustion on prevention of urinary retention after mixed hemorrhoids surgery. Methods A total of 98 patients with mixed hemorrhoids who were hospitalized in the anorectal Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to June 2023 were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment and nursing after anorectal surgery, while the observation group was treated with finger acupuncture combined with moxibustion. The first urination time, the time spent in the first urination, the residual urine volume after the first urination, the success rate of urination and the incidence of postoperative urinary retention were compared between the two groups. Results The first urination time in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group, the first urination time was shorter than that in the control group, and the bladder residual urine volume after the first urination was less than that in the control group, and the data comparison between groups was P < 0.05. The success rate of urination in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the incidence of urine retention was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Finger point combined with moxibustion has a significant effect on preventing postoperative urinary retention of mixed hemorrhoids, which can significantly shorten the time of first urination and the time used for urination, and greatly reduce the residual urine volume of the bladder after urination.
