Abstract: As an emerging discipline, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Nursing has been increasingly used over the last several decades, and its theoretical system, clinical, academic, scientific research, education and personnel training have made great progress, which has been inherited and developed. This paper reviewed the development of TCM nursing and provided reference for the inheritance and innovation of TCM nursing.

Abstract: This paper summarized the nursing management of insomnia in a patient with chest paralysis treated with Chinese herbal medicine pillow combined with auricular acupuncture therapy. The patient's sleep quality was evaluated by using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and targeted TCM treatment and nursing were carried out to reduce the patient's insomnia symptoms.

Abstract: This article summarized the moxibustion combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) enema and related nursing measures for a patient with acute intestinal obstruction. The nursing goals were clarified based on the nursing assessment on illness condition and clinical symptoms of the patient. Guided by theory of syndrome differentiation, the moxibustion combined with TCM enema was carried out, in combination with routine care, to relieve the clinical symptoms of intestinal obstruction and pain of patient.

Abstract: This paper summarizes the nursing experience of auricular acupressure combined with auricular pressure applied to a patient with primary dysmenorrhea. Under the guidance of TCM theory, auricular acupressure combined with auricular pressure was applied to primary dysmenorrhea based on symptom and pain assessment. It effectively improved the patient""s symptoms and signs of dysmenorrhea and further improved the patient""s quality of life and clinical satisfaction of nursing care.

Abstract: In order to further strengthen the standardization and homogenization of nursing care for severe and critical patients and give full play to the advantages of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing, Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)commissioned the Beijing Office of TCM Nursing Capacity Improvement Project to organize the specialized group to compile Nursing Specification of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for severe and critical patients with COVID-19.This specification elaborates the nursing contents of integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for severe and critical patients with COVID-19 in detail,including etiology and pathogenesis,severe/critical high-risk groups,clinical classification and nursing measures,etc.Among them,nursing measures include disease observation and nursing,medication nursing,respiratory support care,prone position treatment and nursing,nutritional support nursing,general nursing,convalescent nursing,etc.This specification is convenient for clinical nurses in various medical institutions to use as reference,and provides reference for clinical application of integrated Chinese and western medicine in nursing severe and critical patients infected with COVID-19.

Abstract: Incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD) is a local skin inflammation caused by fecal impregnation. By analyzing and summarizing the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) cognition, epidemiology, the concept of TCM external treatment and its application in IAD, this paper aims to broaden the thinking of IAD nursing, provide a basis for the exploration of more TCM external treatment methods applied to IAD, and provide a reference for the construction of systematic TCM external treatment methods applied to the nursing scheme of IAD patients.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing on treatment outcome, quality of life and prognosis of high-risk patients with diabetic foot, and provide evidence for more reasonable nursing intervention program. Methods From January 2021to January 2022, 200 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were screened; 40 high-risk patients with diabetic foot were eligible and randomly divided in to observation group and control group, with 20 cases in each group. The control group received routine care during the treatment, and those in the observation group received integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine intervention based on routine care. The treatment outcome, patient quality of life and prognosis of disease were compared between two groups. Results The overall effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). According to the outcome of General Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOL-74) assessment, the improvement rate in the observation group was 85.00%(17/20), showing no significant difference compared with 65.00%(13/20) in the control group (P>0.05). The incidences of foot infections and foot ulcers in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Three cases of amputation were reported in the control group. Conclusion The integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing showed positive effect on treatment outcome, patient quality of life and prognosis of disease, and the effect of integrative nursing intervention was superior to routine nursing.

Abstract: This paper summarized the nursing experience of a case of lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans treated with Chinese herbal ointment and massage combined with intradermal acupuncture. Based on the nursing evaluation on pain, skin temperature, intermittent claudication, arteriopalmus of dorsalis pedis artery and other indicators, the application of Chinese herbal ointment and massage combined with intradermal acupuncture is effective to relieve the symptom of the lower-limb ischemia.

ABSTRACT: Objective To investigate the effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) five-element cupping therapy on postoperative wound pain of patients undergoing Milligan-Morgan surgery for mixed hemorrhoids of damp-heat type. Methods? Totally 60 patients undergoing Milligan-Morgan surgery for mixed hemorrhoids of damp-heat type were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. Anti-infection, hemostasis andother symptomatic treatment were carried out after surgery. The control group received routine wound cleansing and dressing change, and the observation group received TCM five-element cupping therapy on the basis of routine care. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was used to assess the wound pain degree at 24 h、48 h、72 h after treatment. Results? The VAS score in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group at 24 h、48 h and 72h after treatment, respectively (P<0.01). Conclusion The TCM five-element cupping therapy is effective to relieve the postoperative pain of patients with mixed hemorrhoids. It is an easy-to-operate and safe technique of TCM nursing, which is worthy of promoting in pain control after surgical treatment for anorectal diseases.

Abstract: This paper summarized the nursing experience of a patient with pain caused by periarthritis of the shoulder treated with the combined application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) characteristic nursing techniques. Followed by the auricular acupoint massage, the auricular acupoint blood-letting therapy was performed to relieve the shoulder pain and discomfort. The auricular acupoint sticking and pressing therapy showed a long-term stimulation effect, while the balanced cupping therapy was able to enhance the local stimulation effect. The combined application of TCM characteristic nursing techniques are effective in relief of pain in patients with acute periarthritis of the shoulder, which is worthy of promoting.
