Nursing Report on the Treatment of Insomnia in a Cervical Cancer Patient with Auricular Acupoint Pressing and Meridian Massage

Abstract： Objective: To summarize the clinical nursing effect of a case of cervical cancer patients with deficiency of both heart and spleen treated with traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing technique - auricular acupoint pressing combined with acupoint massage. Method: On August 5, 2022, a patient with insomnia of cervical cancer with deficiency of both heart and spleen was admitted. Guided by the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the patient was treated with ear acupoint pressing combined with acupoint massage therapy according to the "Green Regulation Technology for Tumors". Routine nursing and traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing were performed on the patient, and the clinical nursing effect, PSQI score, and AIS score before and after treatment were compared. Result: The clinical insomnia symptoms of the patient improved after treatment, and the PSQI score and AIS score were lower than before treatment. Conclusion: The combination of ear acupoint pressing and acupoint massage therapy can effectively alleviate patients" insomnia symptoms, improve their sleep quality, enhance clinical treatment and nursing effects, and is worthy of clinical reference.
